The main concern of most businesses is, How can I get my customer to spend more on my (insert industry) product?
This is probably the wrong question.
I’d like to write for the record,
You are NOT in the Trading business.
You are NOT in the construction business.
You are NOT in the retail business.
You are NOT in the consultancy business.
In fact, you are probably not in whatever business you think you are, if you think thats your business, in all probability, your customers are slowly walking away.
You, ARE in the business of Customer Satisfaction .
If a business can deliver a customer experience that is exciting/fun/different/informative or whatever it is that overdelivers on what is promised, the customer walks away satisfied AND, you have won.
Satisfy them, and they will return.
SO, what business are you in?
