I was in Courts a few days ago.

I saw this attractive tablet and noticed it was from Blackberry and I was immediately intrigued.  It was pretty, black, had a nice form factor, nice looking screen and a solid feel. It also had a smaller form factor than my iPad which i liked.

The first function I tried was the camera function, and that was nifty, 2 cameras and  fun camera interface….

…..  then  the problems occurred.

I could not get out of the camera function.

There was no button on the bezel,  I tried tapping with 1, 2, 3 and 4  fingers,   drawing shapes,  multi touch strokes, tapping the device and turning it on and off (that just reset to camera).

Now, I have built my computers since I was a teenager,  I have a pletora of  techhy devices and many image capturing devices. I have had palmpilots, iphones, ipad,  electronic organizers, everything in between AND I could always program the video recorder.  I’d like to think I have a good grasp of technology.

However, for this product,I tried every way I could think of and refused to believe that  I couldn’t figure it out.

After about 5 minutes, I put it down and walked away It was still in camera mode.

I still dont know how to  go back to home and i do allow for a moment of ignorance where i could not figure it out but, suffice to say, I wouldnt recommend it to anybody.
